Just a note to say a big thank you to everyone who made the DrupalScienceCamp such a success:
Rachel Lawson - without whom there would have been no DrupalScienceCamp as she provided the venue, as well as the facilities, food and coffee that we all enjoyed greatly,
Our sponsors, Computer Minds and Acquia, whose financial support helped make the weekend accessible to all,

I thought it might be worth putting a news item here that people can comment on if they are arriving in Cambridge on Friday evening - see who else is around?
Oh - and I just found out that the Cambridge Winter Beer Festival is currently on. I don't know if that is handy to know?
I will certainly be around until about 9pm on Friday, should others fancy doing something. Mind you - my mind might be simply thinking about the rest of the weekend!
Just to make you aware of how the Sunday BoF/BarCamp sessions will work. There will be no online signup for Sunday, it'll all be done, in classic BarCamp style, using a big wallchart, post-it notes and markers.

Hello all!
Well, with only a matter of hours before we start, here's a few practical things that might help...
Registration will open at 9am at Napp Pharmaceuticals, Unit 196, Cambridge Science Park. There's a picture of the building here so you know you have the right one - there are a few Napp buildings on the science park... (for those local to Cambridge, we are in the new Napp building, not the 'toast rack')

ComputerMinds and Acquia are my two favourite IT companies just at this moment, as they have both agreed to sponsor #drupalsciencecamp.
Sponsorship is a big deal as it means that the cost of entry for all of us attending is kept really low. This means that more people are likely to attend and that then means we get to meet more interesting people and see more presentations...
Of course, whilst not sponsor in a monetary sense, Napp Pharmaceuticals have been absolutely amazing in letting us use their facilities for the weekend - thank you!!
It's now possible to signup to the Camp, using the "Sign up here!" link above. All of the £10 will be used to keep us fed and watered which is a bonus.
It also means we can now start to think what might be a fun thing to do in the evening. I think it's going to be a bit cold to go punting and I really don't want anyone to fall in the River Cam!
I think if I hadn't made a website by now, Euan might well have shouted at me really quite strongly! ;-)
So, here it is and now we can start to fill it in with sessions, subjects, sponsors and all that fun stuff. In the meantime, it is now okay to just go ahead and buy a ticket - it is only going to be £10 for the whole weekend. With the local Travelodge (Orchard Park) selling off rooms that weekend for £15, it's cheaper than staying at home!!!
